Our Story
NYG was originally founded in 1996 by our Managing Director as a sole trader. NYG soon grew to employing several fitters due to top quality products and excellent personal service at affordable prices.
In 2002 NYG was incorporated making key members of staff directors and shareholders. This has allowed us to grow year on year to be the most successful local, family run home improvement company in the area with over 26 years experience who still give each customer that personal attention with a policy of no subcontractors or salesmen.
Our Fitting team have many dedicated years of experience giving you a quality service from arrival to completion. This has resulted in over 75% of our work coming from repeat customers and personal recommendations.

Our Roofline products are resistant to the British weather and easy to maintain. Our PVCu fascia’s, soffits, cladding and gutters are tough and durable and will look good year after year with just a wipe down.

The team fitted new guttering, fascia, soffit and dry verges to our home. Very impressed with the way they worked and the outcome achieved. Would definitely use again for other projects and would highly recommend.
Recent problem with a patio door and therefore a security problem. Lisa organised a same day response and Chris resolved the problem with great initiative and ease. Everyone was professional and really efficient but, something you don't see very often, was the desire to help me and the manner in which they calmed my worries with humour and kindness. This company is a real asset to our town. Definitely a 5 star business.
Had our window replaced last week by NYG they were fast very efficient taking only two days to replace all the windows, the work was done to an exceptionally high standard and the windows themselves are very well designed and built, have also had the roofline products replaced by them some years ago now but to the same standard of workmanship and would have no hesitation in recommending them and there products to anyone.
NYG came and replaced our cladding and cleaned down all the other PVC items on the house. They did a fantastic and managed to do all the work quickly and efficiently. The cladding looks great and all gutters, facias and doors are so clean they look brand new.
NYG was very helpful, prompt and thorough in ordering, measuring and installing our new front door. We are extremely pleased and highly recommend there excellent customer and installation service.

I highly recommend NYG Northallerton. Friendly and very efficient fitters, the back doors are great, they even refitted my cat flap in, first class.
This is the second house that NYG have replaced all the windows and roofline. A local, family run business that is second to none. Excellent service and top quality product. Everyone from Lisa in the office to Chris on sales, Sam for surveying and all the fitters are very professional and leave a clean house when finished. Don’t waste your time going anywhere else.
From Start to finish, the whole process has been fantastic with NYG Home Improvements! We purchased a uPVC rear door and double patio French doors, as well as a composite front door, which included 3x glass pane, a solid panel and the frame.
There was plenty of choice with designs, colours and accessories, which made it easy to tailor the doors to our wishes. Nothing seemed too much trouble whatsoever and we were also given a picture of the design to help visualise just how it would look once installed.
Once measured, the doors arrived within a few weeks and installed within two days. The installation process went really smoothly and they ensured items that were moved at the beginning were replaced after they had cleared down.
Chris, Lisa and the team were really helpful and professional and we would 100% fully recommend. They gave us much needed advice before installation, as well as great aftercare advice to keep the doors working properly for years to come, including a 10yr guarantee. They have helped transform and improve our home so much, and we couldn’t be happier. Thank you NYG! :)

We have used NYG for all our door replacements over the last 14years, mainly because it is a local family owned company, and just recently for new french doors and windows to be fitted in a bay. We ordered full house of replacement windows from NYG and have been really impressed with the service. We had regular updates from NYG regarding our order and time frame for installation. The job was completed with in the time frame quoted.

Not very often you come across a company, who have such high standards. Really impressed with our windows and door. Fitters were really good, and very tidy, they were happy to alter a couple of things too.
Windows were checked after installation, and some parts replaced due to minor blemishes we hadn't even noticed, and my husband normally notices everything! They were also very competitively priced. Highly recommended.

Professionally fitted by two conscientious family member of the NYG team. All very helpful from our first visit in Zetland Street to the last when Chris came to check we were pleased with our top quality door. We’re now having the front door replaced. We can highly recommend NYG.
